Country: Afghanistan Field Communication Officer
To support Medair`s Communications & Fundraising (CFR) department by providing and facilitating relevant and timely information for Medair’s communication and fundraising activities. Support the field team in dealing with communication towards external sources (e.g. press requests in the field). To monitor Medair’s visibility in the field.
Nutrition Advisor
Provide technical advice and support to Nutrition Project Managers and sectoral staff, in the development of proposals, project planning and implementation, reporting and M&E. Represent Medair at national level in nutrition coordination, as Focal Point for UN, NGOs, donors, partners and other stakeholders, developing and maintaining relationships, with the objective of ensuring good cooperation, partnerships, development of policies and other guidance notes and raising the profile of Medair.
Project Manager - Food Security
Effectively manage a food security project with Disaster Risk Reduction activities. Ensure that beneficiary participation and community relations are enhanced in all phases of the project. Overseeing community development plans, farmer training, kitchen gardens and nutrition training and DRR activities, plus livelihoods support. Manage and train national staff working on the project. Work with a wide range of stakeholders in the food security and agriculture sectors to get their input and involvement in the programme.
Projects Coordinator (BDK)
The Projects Coordinator for Medair operations in Badakhshan Province is responsible for developing and driving forward Medair’s Projects in the region and for providing inspiring leadership and programme objectives for the Badakhshan team, as defined in the Afghanistan country strategy.
Projects Coordinator (CHL)
To provide leadership, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of Medair’s projects in Central Highlands (CHL), including security and staff support. To act as liaison with government bodies where needed and to represent Medair at Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC) sector meetings.
Security Officer
Working closely together with programme management and programme support staff, the Security Officer supports security management and the overall coordination of risk management through technical advice, policy support, trainings, briefings, networking and information management.
Country: Chad Country Director
The Country Director oversees all programme and support activities in-country. Representing Medair in all issues relating to the country programme, the Country Director plays a key role in donor relations and manages the country strategy and the project implementation in conjunction with senior field managers.
Health Project Manager
The Health Project Manager develops, leads, monitors and evaluates the assigned health project(s). This involves assessing health needs, designing projects, writing proposals and initiating and effectively managing and reporting on the projects in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget. Other important aspects of the role include meeting quality standards in health care delivery, encouraging beneficiary participation, liaising with other stakeholders and managing and training primary health care staff.
Logistics Officer
Working as an important member of a diverse team who are committed to serve the world’s most vulnerable with practical and compassionate care the Logistics Officer carries out a variety of functions required to ensure the logistical needs of the programme are met and that all logistical activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and on-time. All logistics activities are carried out in line with Medair policies and procedures and according to any applicable donor, HQ or field guidelines Project Support Manager
The Project Support Manager is key to the efficient and effective running of the country programme. This varied and challenging role involves coordinating and managing the main support functions including general administration, base management, finance, human resources, logistics and security. The PSM has line management responsibility for staff involved in support roles and represents Medair at relevant meetings with contractors, local authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders.
WASH Project Manager
The WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Project Manager plans, develops, monitors and evaluates the assigned WASH project(s). This involves assessing WASH needs, designing projects, writing proposals and initiating and effectively managing and reporting on the projects in line with the objectives, time frame and budget. Providing technical support, leadership and strategic direction, other important aspects of the role include meeting quality standards in WASH delivery, encouraging beneficiary participation, liaising with other stakeholders and managing and training WASH staff.
Country: D.R. Congo Construction Project Manager
The Construction Project Manager will manage the rehabilitation of bridges and other river crossings in Niangara-Poko.
Deputy Country Director – Programmes
To provide leadership, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of Medair’s projects in D.R. Congo. To manage the programme and other project staff in ensuring the correct implementation of the Medair projects in Province Orientale with specific focus on Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene promotion (WASH), and Infrastructure. Coach and train national staff in project management and replace the Country Director when necessary.
Field Communication Officer
To support Medair Communications & Fundraising (CFR) department by providing and facilitating relevant and timely information for Medair’s communication and fundraising activities. Support the field team in dealing with communication towards external sources (e.g. press requests in the field). Monitor Medair’s visibility in the field.
Finance Officer
Following up on all the financial activities and human resources processes required to ensure the projects are functioning efficiently and effectively with integrity.
Health Advisor
Provide technical advice and support to key staff in the development of strategy, proposals, project planning and implementation, reporting and M&E of Medair Health sectors in Congo. Ensure that projects comply with / progress towards key standards and best practice. Oversee capacity building and health of the medical staff. Act as Health Focal Point for UN, NGOs, donors, and key stakeholders, developing and maintaining good relationships. Ensure that Beneficiary Accountability is an integrated part of the Health programme.
Health Manager (Ango)
The purpose of the post is to lead emergency health project operating in 6 health centres in Ango health zone. The manager will be responsible for the quality of the primary health care provided in the 6 health centres, monitoring and medical data aspects of the project.
Human Resources Manager
To give support to the D.R. Congo programme in the areas of personnel recruitment, staff policy development, coordination of staff training and care for general staff well-being. The organisation and management of the administrative processes required to ensure the D.R. Congo programme functions effectively with integrity.
WASH Project Manager
To manage the Medair Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) programme in D.R. Congo and to ensure proposal objectives are met within the appropriate timescales and that the services delivered are within the overall budget and meet Medair quality standards. To manage the WASH staff and anticipate, plan, and lead in the development of new WASH project proposals.
Country: Haiti Country: Madagascar Deputy Country Director - Programmes
In close collaboration with the Country Director, ensure good management of all aspects of Medair projects in Madagascar. Lead Project Managers; Contribute to strategic direction of the programme by identifying and developing new projects and proactively searching for new funds. Cover for Country Director as necessary.
Infrastructure Manager
To implement, monitor and evaluate the tasks assigned to the infrastructure team. This involves assessing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and shelter needs, initiating and effectively managing and reporting on the activities in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget. Providing technical support, other important aspects of the role include meeting quality standards in infrastructure, encouraging beneficiary participation, liaising with other stakeholders, and to manage and train the infra staff.
WASH Project Manager
The WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Project Manager plans, develops, monitors and evaluates the assigned WASH project. This involves assessing WASH needs, designing projects, writing proposals, initiating and effectively managing and reporting on the project. Country: South Sudan Health Project Manager (Emergency Response Team)
To manage the Emergency Response Health and Nutrition project and ensure proposal objectives are met within appropriate timelines and budgets and that the services meet Medair quality standards.
Logistics Manager
To facilitate the objectives of the South Sudan programme, by meeting the logistics requirements (including management of supply chain, vehicles and assets) of all Medair projects, in a timely, efficient and accurate manner, while also meeting relevant information, reporting and accountability requirements.
WASH Manager (Emergency Response Team)
Contribute to the implementation, management, and supervision of Medair’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Emergency Response Programme.
Country: Switzerland (HQ) Database and Fulfilment Assistant
To be an integral part of ensuring that the Communications and Fundraising (CFR) team is able to provide high quality and personalised donor care and communications by managing the Medair donor database and the related donor relations and fulfilment activities.
Office Assistant (Civil Service) (Swiss citizens only)
The Office Assistant role at Headquarters generally consists of some of the activities specified below, but can have some degree of specialisation if you come with specific skills which can be put to good use for Medair during your Civil Service period with us. Possibilities of project management / support roles in one of the following sectors: civil or water engineering, construction, architecture, health, finance, marketing, media or communications, fundraising, logistics, IT, human resources, or business administration.

To effectively manage the health project in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget laid down in the current proposal and meet Medair quality standards and the BPHS. To ensure that beneficiary participation is enhanced in all phases of the project. To manage and train the PHC team and locally recruited health staff. To anticipate, plan, and share in the development of new health project proposals.
WASH Manager
To effectively manage the water and sanitation project in line with the objectives, budget and timeframe laid down in the current proposal under the overall guidance of the WASH Coordinator.

To lead and support Medair’s Country Programme in accordance with Medair's mandate, values and quality standards, beneficiary needs and donor requirements.
Human Resources Officer
To supply Medair with the appropriate human resources through recruitment and staff selection. To contribute to the professional development of the HR Department. To prepare, support and liaise with the internationally recruited staff and care for their personnel & spiritual development.
Programmes Finance Officer
Responsible for Country Programme expense accountability, project and base budgeting, expense monitoring, preparation and submission of financial reports, preparation of cash requests to donors, training of new field staff in finance related topics. Contribute to overall Medair strategic goals by being a valuable part of the Country Programme financial cycle.
