Location: Field: AfghanistanFood Security – Project Manager
To effectively manage a relief food security project in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget laid down in the proposal. To ensure that beneficiary participation is enhanced in all phases of the project. Manage & train National staff working on the project. Work closely with the Disaster Risk Project Manager to ensure good community liaison, follow up, and management of the training schedule.
Project Manager - Food & Agriculture
To effectively manage food and agriculture related projects in line with objectives, timeframe and budget laid down in the proposal, in Badakhshan province. Focus is on Kitchen Gardens and nutrition training (targeted at women) to be delivered in Raghistan, Yawan and Kohistan districts. To ensure that beneficiary participation is enhanced in all phases of the projects. Manage & train National staff working on the projects.
Project Manager Emergency Response
Develop and start up of Emergency Response projects in Afghanistan responding to natural and possible other disasters. Develop systems to increase Medair’s capacity in Afghanistan to respond to disasters quickly and professionally. Support the Medair team in developing other project proposals by feeding back data collected and analyses made for Emergency Response projects.
Project Support Manager
The organisation and management of the administrative processes required to ensure the Afghanistan Country Programme functions effectively and with integrity. Manage the Medair logistic processes. Day to day running of the Kabul base, including security, staff management, and hospitality.

To provide quality support for the work involved in the management of the Country Programme. To support Medair Marketing at Headquarters by providing and facilitating relevant and timely information for Medair’s communication and fund raising activities. Ensure good Medair visibility in the field.

Human Resources Manager
To give support to the DRC project in the areas of personnel recruitment, staff policy development, co-ordination of staff training and care for general staff well being. The organisation and management of the administrative processes required to ensure the DR Congo Programme functions effectively with integrity.
Medical Advisor
Supporting planning and proposal writing and report writing for new and on-going activities, leading on all medical / health elements of proposals and reports. Co-ordinating and networking at senior level with national and regional health authorities and other NGOs. Leading on capacity building of Medair medical staff. Championing best practice (international and Medair) in all health programmes.
Project Support Officer
To coordinate the day to day running of the Dungu base providing security, administrative and logistical support. To ensure that Medair coordinates with OCHA, local and INGOs and local authorities. To ensure that movement plans are adapted to latest security information. To raise all procurement requests and follow logistics process. To oversee all financial activities for the Dungu projects.
Location: Field: Haiti Country Director
To oversee and support the design and management of the strategy, implementation, development and evaluation of the Haiti Programme. To represent Medair for all issues related to the Haiti Programme. To ensure appropriate leadership and management capacity is given to the support side of the Programme implementation (HR, Finance and Logistics). To closely collaborate, coordinate, support and optimise team work with the Deputy Country Director - Programmes (DCD).

Medair is looking for Experienced Relief Workers from the following sectors of expertise: project management, shelter and re-construction, logistics, marketing communications, financial or human resources management to lead this Haiti disaster management programme.
Human Resources Manager
To give support to the Haiti project in the areas of local personnel recruitment, staff policy development, coordination of staff training and care for general staff well being.
Logistics Manager
To facilitate the objectives of the HTI programme, by meeting the logistics requirements (including management of supply chain, vehicles and assets, management of logistics staff, and base maintenance responsibilities) of all Medair projects while also meeting relevant information, reporting and accountability requirements.
Shelter Project Manager (x3)
To provide leadership, strategic direction, and management of one of three Shelter teams. Reporting (donor reports & proposals) and conceiving new projects; Responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the projects; Responsible for oversight of project finance management, administration, Internationally Recruited Staff (IRS) HR and quality management; Staff training and empowerment of project staff.

To represent Medair for all issues related to the Madagascar Programme. Project Support Officer
The Project Support Officer (PSO) is responsible for all the support functions, including finance, human resources and logistics, in the Medair Maroantsetra Base.
Location: Field: Somalia/Somaliland Health Project Manager
To manage the Cadale health programme in partnership with SAACID. To manage the health programme in Burao in partnership with a local NGO. To provide technical support to national medical staff for the implementation of high-quality care in all projects. To manage the necessary drugs and equipment for both projects. To anticipate, plan, and share in the development of new health project proposals in collaboration with SAACID and other partners.
Nutrition Projects Manager
Manage current Community Based nutrition projects, including Stabilisation centre, Outpatient Therapeutic Treatment, Supplementary Feeding programmes and Nutrition education. Set up new project components. Recruit, manage & train national staff for the nutrition project. Organise, implement and interpret nutrition anthropometric surveys and nutritional causal analyses. Support MCH (Mother & Child Health) programme: implement nutrition/health education programmes and train medical staff in identifying, treating and referring malnourished patients.

Provide operational support in order to enhance Medair Sudan (Northern States)’s programme activities and contribute to the achievement of objectives.
Health Project Manager
Overall coordination of and responsibility for the primary health care programme (including reproductive health (RH), public health promotion (PHP) and emergency responses). Support to, supervision and training of medical staff. Coordinate health programming with other NGOs / UN agencies ensuring pro-active liaison with the MoH. Lead the philosophical transition of health programming from ‘out-puts and activities’ to impact, through monitoring and evaluation and appropriate humanitarian accountability partnership (HAP) activities. Take the lead on developing high quality health proposals and drafts of donor reports. Contribute to the overall project coordination in the core management team.
Logistics Manager
To facilitate the objectives of the SDN programme, by meeting the logistics requirements (including management of supply chain, vehicles and assets) of all Medair projects, in a timely, efficient and accurate manner, while also meeting relevant information, reporting and accountability requirements. To facilitate the Medair Southern Sudan programme upon their request, in all logistic aspects required.
Public Health Promotion Manager
To manage, plan, implement and evaluate the Public Health Promotion of the Primary Health care (PHC) programme in South Kordofan, Sudan (Northern States).
Reproductive Health Manager (SK)
To ensure quality implementation, supervision and support of the Reproductive Health (RH) programme in Kailak and Muglad.
Reproductive Health Manager (WD)
To ensure quality implementation of the Reproductive Health (RH) project through supervision and support to the national recruited health staff.
WASH Advisor
To develop, lead, monitor and evaluate the WASH part of the Sudan (Northern States) country programme; to provide capacity building for national and international staff; and to contribute to the overall management of the Sudan (Northern States) country programme.

Additional tasks may include assessing future WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) needs, designing projects and writing proposals.
