Location: Field: Afghanistan
    Projects Coordinator

      Represent Medair within the community. Produce proposals, reports and concept papers. Financial management, ensuring the Badakhshan project operates within Medair standards. Staff management of Badakhshan Internationally Recruited team including appraisals, personnel development and performance related recognition. Responsible for assessing the security status of Badakhshan Province, and for developing and communicating an emergency evacuation plan.


    WatSan Projects Manager (Bdk)

      Effectively manage water and sanitation projects in line with objectives, budget and timeframe. Regular and systematic monitoring of project results versus objectives and impact on the project communities. Ensure beneficiary participation is enhanced in all phases of the project. Anticipate, plan, initiate and share in new WatSan proposals development. Recruit, manage & train National WatSan staff.


Location: Field: Congo D.R.

    Base Manager

      To coordinate the running of the Isiro base, providing security management, administrative support and logistical coordination. To ensure that Medair is represented to all local and INGO’s as well as authorities, donors and beneficiaries for the purpose of supporting financial or logistical processes. To oversee all financial activities for the Uélé projects, and to manage the team, including recruitment of national staff, coaching & mentoring, disciplinary action and general personnel care.


    Liaison and Security Officer

      Represent Medair in the humanitarian community in order to coordinate humanitarian action with the other actors; get information on new emergency funding found locally; attend cluster meetings; management of security plan; liaison with the NGO community regarding security; brief new staff on security issues; provide a translation / interpreter service to the Country Director.


Location: Field: Somalia

    Health Project Manager

      To manage the Cadale health programme in partnership with SAACID. To manage the health programme in Burao in partnership with a local NGO. To provide technical support to national medical staff for the implementation of high-quality care in all projects. To manage the necessary drugs and equipment for both projects. To anticipate, plan, and share in the development of new health project proposals in collaboration with SAACID and other partners.


Location: Field: Sudan (Northern States)

    Health Manager (Reproductive Health)

      To ensure quality implementation of the Reproductive Health (RH) project through supervision and support to the nationally recruited health staff and monitoring and evaluation.


    Medical Coordinator

      To develop, lead, monitor and evaluate the medical part of the Sudan (Northern States) country programme; to provide capacity building for national and international staff; and to contribute to the overall management of the Sudan country programme.


    Projects Coordinator

      To provide leadership, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of Medair’s projects in South Kordofan, including security and staff support. Assist technical staff working alongside authorities to encourage coordination and more sustainable approaches to the programme.


    Water & Sanitation Manager

      To effectively manage the water and sanitation project in line with the objectives, budget and timeframe laid down in the current proposal under the overall guidance of the WatSan Coordinator.


Location: Field: Sudan (Southern Sudan)

    WatSan Projects Manager

      Manage the implementation of Medair Southern Sudan water and sanitation projects and to ensure that beneficiary participation is enhanced in all phases of the project. Anticipate, plan, initiate and share in the development of new WatSan proposals. Manage and train local WatSan staff.


Location: Field: Uganda

    Base Support Manager
      To manage the support team in Kaabong base: overseeing all logistics, administration and finance; to contribute to the general management of the team, working closely with the Programme Manager and WatSan Manager.

Location: Generic Field Vacancies

    Field Communication Officer

      To provide quality support for the work involved in the management of the Country Programme. To support Medair Marketing at Headquarters by providing and facilitating relevant and timely information for Medair’s communication and fund raising activities. Ensure good Medair visibility in the field.

      N.B. This “generic” position is not currently open, but frequently required in the Field. If applying, candidates will be considered for the next available open position.


    Finance Manager

      Overall management of finance and financial procedures for the field programme. Provide accurate financial reporting and communication at field and HQ level. Organise and develop effective financial / admin. processes for projects. Manage and train national finance staff. Oversee IT requirements for field and capital city.

    WatSan Manager

      To effectively manage the water and sanitation project in line with the objectives, budget and timeframe laid down in the current proposal under the overall guidance of the WatSan Coordinator.
